Born and raised in the Caribbean Island of Grand Cayman, Shawn Ebanks moved to Florida during high school, where he found a passion for entrepreneurship and the food industry. Ebanks has owned several businesses, from a swimming pool maintenance service, to a pizza restaurant in Florida, to a watersports business in the islands. Two years ago, Ebanks and his wife made the move to Golden, Colorado, and after looking for the perfect business to buy, they made the purchase of Croc Soup Co. in 2016.

Croc Soup Co. has been serving freshly made soups from scratch ever since, along with salads and premium sandwiches. The Ebanks’s love for food and flavors from around the world help create their menu. They bring their hungry customers the freshest ingredients, and their menu changes seasonally.

Croc Soup Co. and Fivestars

Ebanks loves Fivestars because, in his words, “we used to use a punch card for our loyalty program in the past, but that just wasn’t working. Our customers would forget to bring them back. Since signing up with Fivestars our customers just have to remember their phone number and they are in!” He adds that the friendly reminders to customers and the ability to send out specials are also great benefits. The rewards program has been a big hit with both old and new customers, and has more than doubled Croc Soup’s customer following.

Fun fact: Sean and his wife plan to open multiple Croc Soup Co. in the future and have their kids take over. The couple hopes to retire one day and travel the country in their RV *dreaming*.
